The audience will be shown quick techniques on how to hypnotize someone who is in pain; suggestions to alleviate pain will be given. There will be audience participation. Several types of burns will be discussed; probable outcome of the different types of burns will be discussed. Questions will be answered.

In 1993 Ernie was inducted into the International Hypnosis Hall of Fame, received the Silver Alumni Award in 1997, and the Golden Alumni Award in 2000. He was named Hypnotist of the Year in 1999 by Mid-America Conference and he has received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Mid-America Conference; received the Member of the Year award and Merit Award from NGH; the Teamwork Award from the International Medical & Dental Association two times; the Friendship Award from the North Coast Hypnosis Society; the Featured Speaker Award from the International Society of Hypnotists; Third Place for New and Innovative Techniques in Hypnosis at the Midwest Hypnosis Convention in 1984; the first ever given Merit Award from AAEH, inclusion in International Directory of Distinguished Leadership for Child Hypnotherapy; and the Wendell G. Loder Man of the Year Award from the ATM Society. He has also appeared on P.M. Magazine. He is a consultant to doctors and psychologists on hypnosis for children and adults and also works with complicated problems upon doctor referral. He has also done research on a variety of medical problems utilizing hypnosis.
