The mind & body work together to maintain homeostasis. When chronic or persistent stress are present, the result is called allostatic load and can often result in many of the reasons why clients seek our help. The savvy hypnotist understands allostasis and uses that understanding to best individualize and customize her/his work with clients. In this workshop, we’ll briefly look at how stress factors into many of the reasons our clients seek our help. We’ll learn how the mind-body compensates for minor to severe stress and how we can use this information to adjust our work to best help our clients. After presentation of the material, attendees will engage in activities designed to practice the skills learned in the session.
